Step-by-Step: Create Charts from CSV

1. Prepare Your Data

Your CSV file should have headers in the first row. One column will be used for labels (X-axis), and other numeric columns will be the data series.

2. Upload or Paste Your CSV

3. Select Chart Type

Choose from five chart types:

  • Bar Chart: Perfect for comparing values across categories

Common Issues & Solutions

❌ Issue: Chart Not Appearing

Cause: Your Y-axis column might not contain numeric values.

Fix: Ensure the Y-axis column contains numbers, not text. Check for any non-numeric values or formatting issues.

❌ Issue: Empty Y-Axis Options

Cause: Your CSV might not be parsing correctly or lacks headers.

Fix: Make sure your first row contains column headers and your data format is correct (comma-separated).

❌ Issue: Chart Looks Cramped

Cause: Too many data points or series on the chart.

Fix: Reduce the number of Y-axis series or data points. Bar charts work best with 5-20 data points.

❌ Issue: PNG Export Not Working

Cause: Browser restrictions or disabled permissions.

Fix: Try a different browser. Take a screenshot of the chart as an alternative.
